JCSTF Georgian Place Apartments

JCSTF's Georgian Place apartments are now occasionally available for visiting artists.

Georgian Place is located at 139 N 11th ST, south across Q Street from Embassy Suites. The main street entrance is keyed.

For ease of communication, we'll use the terms "RENT" and "TENANT" even though no cash will ever change hands. Transactions will be restricted to transfers between two cost object numbers. Agreements will exist only between Johnny Carson School and other UNL units; not Johnny Carson School and the TENANT. The sponsoring unit will accept all responsibility for damage and other costs associated with their TENANT.

Rates are per apartment, not per person. If you have 2 people here for the same project for the same time span, request a 2-bedroom apartment.

We will automatically insert a cleaning day on the calendar between occupancies .

Dining / Living area seperate from bedroom(s) with loveseat and/or arm chair. The living room has an opening window.

1 queen-sized bed made up with bed linens

Various blankets, pillows

1 bath towel,

1 large television with basic cable and local channels

(Pay-per-view and premium channels are blocked)

Basic kitchen supplies including flatware, servingware, pots and pans, drip coffee maker with filters, small appliances, paper goods. Electric stove, microwave, refridgerator, dishwasher.

We expect tenants to treat these apartments like they would when they stay in the spare bedroom of a cousin who they don't see that often. Pick up after themselves. Empty the trash bins. They probably wouldn't dust. If they break something, fix it if it's easy. Report it to the cousin if it's something that needs attention.

These apartments are perfectly nice but utilitarian. Think AirBnb; not Embassy Suites.  After we arrange to get the tenant the key, there probably won't be any need for contact until the key is returned. Our Company Manager (Becky) administers the day-to-day operations. She will provide friendly service but she is NOT a hotelier. She will provide tenants a version of this instruction sheet. There is no daily or weekly housekeeping.

These apartments are incredibly convenient and your guests will not require transportation to campus. Think of that!  Canopy Street Market is a 9-minute walk from Georgian Place for groceries. They can stop by The Copper Kettle on the way home and then make the remaining 3 minutes by themselves.
