Scholarships

Whether you're a college-bound high school student or already attending a college or university, Army ROTC has scholarships available. Scholarships are awarded based on a student's merit and grades, not financial needs. University-based scholarships are also available.

Army ROTC scholarships are valuable in many ways:

  • Two-, three-, and four-year scholarship options based on the time remaining to complete your degree
  • 100% paid tuition & fees OR $6,000 per semester for room and board
  • Additional $600 per semester books and supplies

Army ROTC scholarships also provide monthly living allowances for each school year. A monthly stipend of $420 per month is provided for ten months.

Contracted Cadets receive the stipend even if they are not receiving a scholarship.

The Simultaneous Membership Program is for soldiers already in the National Guard. SMP cadets are also eligible for the Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Scholarship.

The Green to Gold Program is for currently active enlisted soldiers who wish to stay on active duty while obtaining their college degrees.

Foundation Scholarships

The University of Nebraska at Lincoln sponsors and provides several scholarships earmarked for ROTC students. These scholarships are awarded in the spring of each year to Cadets already in the program.
