The Nebraska Writing Project hosts an annual retreat at Platte River State Park, usually in mid September. At this three-day event, NeWP Teacher-Consultants (with their writing-friendly friends and family) gather for shared meals, writing activities, readings, a writing marathon, and other lively and informal events.

Would you like focused time, away from distractions, to work toward completing that writing goal? The Nebraska Writing Project’s Summer Writing Retreat supports the development of personal, professional and creative writing in peaceful surroundings. The structure of this retreat is designed to accommodate writers at various levels in their project’s development and offers small group supportive structure as well as one-to-one facilitator feedback.
