Programs for Youth

Summer writing workshops for youth and families.

Annual poetry contest culminating in a special event at the Nebraska State Capitol.

Day-long workshops for students to hone their writing skills and to build community.

Two-week camp on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus for aspiring writers.
Community Programs

For veterans and active military personnel
Facilitated by professional writing instructors, the workshops consist of six to eight biweekly sessions focused on developing strategies and skills. No experience needed.

A poetry competition for Nebraskan students
Encouraging Nebraska students to engage with their places through writing poetry and to make that writing more visible.

Open to the public
Move through the landscape with other writers, write, and share along the way. Held at various times and places.
