Lincoln Symphony Orchestra performs piece commissioned by the Cather Project

In collaboration with The Cather Project, Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra performed a commissioned piece as part of their Classical series on Sunday, May 5th, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Led by Music Director Edward Polochick, the program opened with Prairie Songs: Remembering Ántonia by Brent Edstrom, a work commissioned by The Cather Project. Originally a chamber work written for tenor, violin, and piano, LSO’s concert marked the world premiere of its full orchestration. Joining the LSO as solo tenor was Scott David Miller, and concertmaster Anton Miller was featured prominently.
