 Crystal graduated with Bachelor's degrees in both Photography and Spanish and received her Master's in TESL from the University of Central Missouri, USA where she eventually worked with the Intensive English Program (IEP) for a year and a half. She taught EFL in Sapporo, Japan for three years, and in Lugansk, Ukraine for one as an English Language Fellow in conjunction with Georgetown University and the U.S. Department of State. In addition to her lecturer position here at UNL, she is also a State Department English Language Specialist and has worked on assignments in Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Georgia, and Russia, with a focus on novice EFL teacher training, Peace Corps team teaching training, and current methodologies and technologies in EFL. Besides teaching, she loves trying strange foods, running, and following her love of photography and travel, which has taken her to 45 countries and 28 U.S. States.
