Juan N. Franco Legacy Scholarship

The Juan N. Franco Legacy Scholarship, formerly known as the Hope for the Future Scholarship, was created in the Fall of 2016. Students who led the creation of the scholarship believed in the importance of quality higher education. Through education, students are given the opportunity to become productive and informed members of our community. As a result, members of the Define American Chapter at UNL, with the great help of Dr. Juan Franco, whom he may rest in peace, worked to make this scholarship a reality.

The Juan N. Franco Legacy Scholarship offers financial assistance to students attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln that may be ineligible for financial aid due to their immigration status. It is available to both incoming students and current students.
