REQUEST FOR EXCUSED ABSENCE: See the ensemble syllabus for grading information in regard to absences from ensemble rehearsals and/or performances. Submit a request for an absence from rehearsal PRIOR to the absence. It is permissible to submit a request for an excused absence after that absence in the event of illness or family emergency. Cornhusker Marching Band Uniform and Costume Check-in

All members of the 2023 CMB must return their uniform or costume to the basement of the 501 Building (rooms 31 and 32) during one of the time blocks listed below. All items must be returned by the end of the last check-in period to avoid late fees as outlined in the course syllabus. Please see "Uniform Procedures and Policies" for the details. Students that have conflicts with the schedule may arrange to have a friend return their uniform or costume. Please remember to return all uniform or costume items, including the hat and gauntlets.

2024 CMB Veteran Band Camp Registration

Students that have previously participated in the Cornhusker Marching Band must register for the 2024 Band Camp by completing Veteran Registration form. The Band Office will acknowledge receipt of the form via email. Brass and woodwind players do not need to play a first round audition, however, you will need to successfully complete the marching audition. Members of the marching band must be full-time University students and must maintain a 2.000 GPA.

Information about Band Camp and the fall season will be published in early July. The deadline for completing the veteran registration form is June 15, 2024 for veteran brass and woodwind players. Percussion in-person audition dates are May 4 and May 11. Sign up for the percussion auditions by submitting the Veteran Registration Form prior to May 1. Color Guard in-person auditions will take place on June 1 with a video audition option. Color Guard members can register for an audition by submitting the Veteran Registration Form prior to May 20.
